In fact, it’s the sort of super-useful coat that will live on the peg by the back door (right next to your dog leads) — ready for daily duty.

It features a roll-away (non-insulated) hood which offers comprehensive protection — but can be zipped off when not required.

Two zipped , fleece-lined hand warmer pockets — positioned high — are the perfect place to defrost your fingers between tasks.

The large cartridge pockets feature drainage eyelets and can be held open with integrated retainer straps.

On the inside, a zipped chest pocket offers secure storage for your phone, wallet or everyday essentials. A lower zipped pocket provides a handy place to keep permits and paperwork.

A tough, two-way, full-length front zip is protected by a popper-fastened storm flap.

Internal cuff gaiters stop cold water finding its way up your sleeves when you raise your arms and are secured by studded retainers.
